Hi, my name is Justice Worthy Runkle. I was born in New York and raised in Marietta, Georgia. I am the youngest of three siblings and grew up in a Latino household, which has given me the privilege of being fluent in Spanish. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2022, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regent University, where I expect to graduate in Spring 2026.

Through my academic and personal journey, I have developed a passion for helping individuals find healing and hope as they navigate life’s challenges. My counseling style integrates biblical principles with evidence-based practices. I particularly value a person-centered approach for individuals and enjoy utilizing Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) when working with couples. Above all, I strive to provide a safe, empathetic, and compassionate space for clients from all walks of life.

Beyond counseling, I love to serve others through mission work, homeless ministry, and advocacy for survivors of child and adult sexual abuse. I am also a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), which has allowed me to work closely with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, writing poetry, playing guitar, and spending time with animals.

A little bit about me… I am a Georgia native and have grown to love living in Atlanta more than I ever thought I could. When I am not in the counselor’s chair, I can often be found with a cup of coffee and a good book, cooking up a new recipe, or spending time in community with loved ones.

I work with adolescents and young adults navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges.

I am passionate about working with clients seeking support in processing shame, navigating intense emotions, and developing emotional regulation, with attention to how identity and lived experience shape their sense of self and relationships.

I also support children and caregivers navigating conflict and disconnection within the family, with a focus on understanding and breaking generational patterns that impact connection.

In our work together, we slow things down to make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. I take a collaborative approach, working alongside clients as they process their experiences. I believe that healing is not a journey meant to be taken alone, but one we move through with others.Grounded in a person-centered, faith-integrated approach, I honor each person’s lived experience and God-given capacity for growth. I partner with clients as they move toward healing, resilience, and renewed hope while navigating change and reclaiming purpose and possibility.

I am passionate about working with teenagers and supporting them through a crucial stage of development. Working full-time as a high school counselor, I have a front-row seat to the trials, challenges, and trends occurring in the lives of teens and I use that knowledge to inform my practice. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I use solution-focused approaches to help clients find practical and effective ways to create sustainable changes in their lifes.

Trained in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy (NT), my practice style helps clients explore their identity from multiple perspectives, as well as examine environments, relationships, and behavioral patterns to identify opportunities for growth. I believe life is more enjoyable when we think creatively; therefore, I often use art-based practices, lots of analogies, and games in my work with clients. I find these approaches help therapy not feel so “heavy” for teens, too!

I am in constant awe of the resiliency of teens and adolescents. It is a pleasure to walk alongside them as they explore new methods of coping, communicating, and ultimately, watching them grow into the version of themselves that they are destined to become!
